Okay, was looking at Hawaii but that's getting expensive. What do you reccommend for a low cost vacation (all inclusive or cruise etc...) leaving from Ottawa in end of Feb/early march for about 5-7 days. I've done DR, Mex before. Suggestions on where and tips would be helpful. wife and I want to see some things but want to relax most of all so we like the idea of all inclusives as we've been in the past. Ideas or suggestions please. Thanks. Merry Christmas.

You'll have more choice and cheaper for AI's if you look at Montreal or Toronto. Look at El Salvador, Salinitas....great price and a great (and different) destination but only from Toronto or Montreal. Nicaragua is supposed to be great too, only from Montreal though.

I used Go travel before and they were pretty good. Last time I booked 2 weeks before hand but this time I want to book earlier b/c I need to make sure I can get time off. Any other suggestions? El Salvador, Salinitas and Nicaragua are expensive are they not compared to Dom and Cuba

I always use selloffvacations.com and haven't found cheaper or better service elsewhere. I've flown from Toronto and Montreal but looked at Ottawa. El Salvador can be had cheap if you do last minute bookings, Nicaragua from Montreal is still pricey compared to other last minutes but it will still be cheaper than a Hawaaian vacation.
If you decide to do a seperate flight/hotel package then Ottawa will work out OK as long as there's a connection in a US hub, I've done this before for Panama from Ottawa to Atlanta to Panama.

I did a search off regtag for El Salvador and Nicaragua but the resorts that showed up were not that great. Well people enjoyed it but it only had so so reviews on tripadvisor.

What is the price that you are looking at
My friend went to Costa Rica for his honeymoon and he loved it. He showed me pictures of him in the jungles and on top of an inactive volcano, i love it man. Wish I could be there, I am a big time adventure kind of guy
It`s definitely different than Cuba.

If I can pull something off for under $750 a person that'd be awesome but I know that may be a long shot unless I get those last minute, leave tomorrow kind of things.

I was looking at the Citizen (24th Dec edition) and saw some pretty nice 4 to 7 day deals from WestJet (Bahamas etc) . Also saw some deals to Costa Del Sol Spain for about $650 PP (airfare and apartment w/kitchenette) for 7 days.
Pick up the Citizen on Saturday and have a look in the travel section. You will be surprised at some of the deals right in your price range.
