I am looking for about a 32" TV with 720p.

Any brands to consider?

What is the price when they go on sale?

I have a Samsung LNT3253H. Superb picture, I mostly use it for my X360. I have it semi-calibrated with Avia (didn't do the color tests yet). It has oodles of features, I couldn't complain about the TV if I wanted to. It's fairly cheap now a days, too. It looks awesome. Check it out.

I bought a Viewsonic n3235w from Costco for $599. Only used for watching movies from a dvd player and digital cable tv.

700-800 dollars is the sweet spot for a 32" if you want quality and value.

Either BB or FS has the 32inch Westy up for $499 I think. I'm not sure how good the set is but go take a look

don't ever ever ever buy garbage TV brands.

The cheapest brand you can pull off with safety and quality is Viewsonic.

Insignia is garbage, Maxtent, and many other budget TVs should be avoided like the plague.

Are refurbs good or no?

refurbs are fine, but they usually come with 90 days warranty, so I'd recommend getting an extended warranty on it, which can cost you as much as a brand new TV.
