EDIT: Ah I see the reason now, apparently "by April 2009 of all games sold in Quebec must also be offered in the French language if such a version exists elsewhere in the world." and game makers "have 18 months to comply" so this started in October 2007.

hence why Microsoft, probably leary of having to deal with more lawsuits :D decided to change the Halo 3 voiceovers.

Nope, Mass Effect and Halo 3 are the exceptions (a new trend maybe?). Most of the games are in French if you set your console in French and in English if you set your console in English. Try Gears of War or Forza 2 for example. The "French version" and the "English" version are the exact same disc (the French version does usually have an extra manual and cover in French on top of the English cover and manual).

I am not sure why MS decided to make 2 different discs for Mass Effect and Halo 3 instead of only using 1 disc have use the console settings. Maybe there wasn't enough room for 2 languages with all the dialogues in those 2 games.

I actually spoke with a manager of Canada Post yesterday because of a complaint about bad service in my area. She told me that a mail carrier will leave a parcel in what is considered a "safe area", meaning if a person walking by on the street/sidewalk cannot see the parcel at your door step it's considered safe. She told me that if I didn't want that happening again I need to contact the Canada Post supervisor for my district and they will tell my mail carrier.

I like buying from Amazon.. it's pretty fast and they use CP, so no complaints. I usually have the stuff shipped to my office so I don't have to go to the CP outlet to pick it up.

Just because you save more doesn't make it a better value imo. The Halo 3 package doesn't come with 3 free games like the Premium on Dell =/ If you're fine with no games and the ugly colour, then yeah it was a good deal.

This is also like the Sony PSN games- they charge an extra buck or two on everything. Even now. What, is their excuse "oh, bandwidth is more expensive in Canada".
