Hi! Every one I would like to know your opinion on AUTOMATIC UPDATES. Do u allow Automatic Update on ur system? If so, Does it really help? According to Microsoft corporation UPDATES are Recommended, but there are several things which we don't need them so, why we install updates?

Some people like to think Automatic Updates sent by the devil... Pretty blown out of proportion if you ask me.

yes, I have updates turned on and have had them turned on ever since Windows 98, can't say I've ever had a problem.

I hate it when my computer does ANYTHING without me actually telling it to.

I have them turned off and always will.

No, I am opposed to the idea of an operating system automating the process of updating itself without being under my direct control.

But for many other users, this is actually a good idea because they would otherwise never get necessary security updates.

I'm the type of person that doesn't want everything automated for me. I don't even set my anti-virus to update automatically.

However, for anyone that isn't computer savvy, you should always have automatic on.

Don't even have Auto Updates installed, thanks to nLite. Just need an all new version of Autopatcher to be released.

No.
Just in case a hotfix decides it's better to crash the system(s), software(s)...

Microsoft also advertises that Vista is a lot better than XP.
