Does anyone know if it's possible to add GPS or WIFI to a PDA via the SD card port?

As far as I know, the only slot with enough bandwidth is the Compact Flash.
But a little common sense should answer your question.
The SD slot is tiny. Where do you think the electronics for a Wireless and GPS will go?
Better yet, what about the antenna?

There are devices for both GPS and WiFi, but that's only if your SD slot is SDIO compatible.
The antenna basically sticks out the end of it if there's one... it ain't pretty, but it'll work. Some of them don't even have antennas, which I doubt would work well...
Various GPS makers have GPS models.... Pharos, GlobalSat, etc.

Why don't you tell us what model the PDA and then we can tell you whether it has a SDIO slot for wifi and/or bluetooth for a BT GPS receiver?

I'm looking to get a PDA from Telus. Just can't figure out which one. The P4000 has wifi but no GPS. The BB pearl has GPS but no HIFI. I really want HIFI.

My guess is you'll probably need a GPS receiver, like this (http://www.holux.com/JCore/en/products/products_content.jsp?pno=253)
I have the same one, it's awesome and tiny. Reception is very good. Just make sure your PDA has bluetooth. I might be selling mine, so give me a shout if you're interested.
