Vegas Feb. 1 Booking?

Hey guys/gals, I was just wondering when would be the best time to book my flight/hotel for Vegas for Jan.31-Feb.2. I have a birthday party to attend, and was wondering if prices for flights or hotels will drop during/after Christmas. I am in Calgary,and looking to save some money. Any opinions welcome, thanks in advance.

I booked for the exact same weekend 1 month ago. It seems to be a very popular/expensive time! I dunno if it is because of a fight in town or superbowl or ???

I did get a great deal on a flight (out of Vancouver) and right now we are booked at the Monte Carlo for about $650. (Jan 31-Feb 3) I am watching the hotels for better deals as the time approaches. Will cancel/rebook depending on what comes up.

Unless you can tee up a great package deal, it can work pretty well to do what I am doing, which is airfare and hotel separately. The hotels let you cancel with no penalty.

Let me know if you find a better hotel rate and I might switch to what you get!

I have been looking too and leaving from Calgary. I'm going Jan 16-21 and then again Feb 21-25. Expedia seems to have pretty good rates for flight/hotel combos, but the flights are not direct. Air Canada has $89 flights each way, direct. I have not decided how or when to book yet.
