I think SP3 is basically a roll-up release of all hotfixes since SP2. So if you are up-to-date on Windows Updates, it shouldn't make too much of a difference.
I do know it 'borrows' a few things from Vista ... ie. Network Access Protection ... etc

I hope they add AHCI drivers.
Getting ready to slipstream the new SP3 into my preload disc.

I hope they add AHCI drivers.
Yeah, it would silly of them not to.
That and the 1394 fix for external HDDs (delay write failure surprise).

The final release of this is still months away. Microsoft has stated that they want to get the Vista SP1 out first and that won't happen until Q1 at the earliest.
Installing this at this point in time would be a very foolish thing to do unless you have a throw away computer.

So far I dont see anything new or exciting, except the Computer Properties show SP3 now

Micro$oft won't/can't make this SP3 'too good' ... Peep will stick with WinXP even longer ... ;)
In fact, Micro$oft should make WinXP 'bad' with SP3 ...

It happens to USB as well.

There is nothing new or exciting about SP3. It's just comprised of bug fixes and hotfixes.
Okay there are a couple of new features but they're things that 99.9% of the population would never use like Network Access Protection

Sorry, I can't seem to find the release I read a while ago.
This link seems to provide the basics though

I really suggest against downloading this.
My friend & I have been on the beta program and after getting the latest RC, our PC's became extremely unstable.
We ended up rolling back to SP2.
You've been warned.

You are in the Minority.
My machines are stable and more reliable, hopefully you are reporting these problems so they can be fixed before the final.

I installed this last night and it's working like a charm. No bugs, no crashes, and rock solid like Luongo in net. I was contemplating whether or not to install it, but it's not a beta so I figured I'd give a go.
