Hi All,

Our family of four (two adults and two kids, 12 and 6) is going to Florida for the first week (Jan 5-12) in January. Wondering if some one can point me where I can get discount tickets. And another question is do you really need the hopper option?

Thanks a lot in advance!

This company has a great reputation and is licensed by Disney. They also ship free to Canada:

You will save a fair amount vs. buying at Disney Store. You definitely don't want to buy at the gate, as that's the most expensive option.

As far as the options go, park hopping is great if you only have a few days or a long weekend there - it lets you pack more into one day. But if you're going for a week, I would say you don't need it.

If you can afford it, the best bet would be to buy the longest no-expiration ticket you can and use it over multiple visits. It costs more now, up front, but in the long run you will save money. A 10-day ticket works out to just $47 a day with all the options, whereas a 5-day ticket with the same options works out to $67 a day. But for a family of four that's a huge investment (4 10-day tickets is well over $1000).

Also, be aware that you can upgrade or add options to tickets individually after your arrive at WDW. So if you buy a ticket that doesn't have the water park and more option, but then decide to hit a water park when you are there, you can add the option at any guest service location or ticket booth (and just pay the difference). You can also add days. You can do this up to 14 days after first use.
