Is anyone insured with Direct Protect?

I am a 26 year old female living in the GTA with no tickets and one at fault collision 2 years ago.

Every quote I've recieved was on average around $3,500...Direct Protect, with pretty decent coverage - quoted me $2,300.

They are part of the Co-Operaters group.

Anyone have any experiences with them?

I'm currently under my parents policy with State Farm but am moving out and need to get my on policy...they quoted $3,400.

Thanks!

you can also try an insurance broker

btw...even a quote of 2300, the insurance company *can* change the premiums after a review of your file (usually happens by the 1st month). If you dont agree with the premium adjustment, they will stop covering you in 1-2 weeks time.

An insurance broker can give you a variety of quotes from diff companies (that will tell you whether the $2300 is accurate)

I agree with the broker aspect. Find a couple of brokers and between them they can input your information with more than a dozen companies and get the right coverage for you and your circumstances. Buying over the internet does not necessarily get you cheaper insurance, it just puts more money into the company because they don't have to pay commission to anyone. Plus, a broker will give you service, the automated phone answering machine of the company will only put you on hold until the next available operator can talk to you ;)

try kanetix.ca or belair or president choice

your insurance is too expensive

your insurance should not be identical to mine. I am 22 maLe with one 50/50 accident and 1 minor ticket and I only got my G recently

My insurance is 2700
