Anyone know how long I should allow for clearing customs at the Vancover airport? Is 3 hours enough?

Hong Kong -> Vancouver -> Edmonton

On a overnight Connecting flight from hawaii it took me 2.0hours in 2005 at about 9am on a Weekend . I'd recommend not making the rest room stop in the airport that could cost you alot of time extra in line if its busy. do that in the airplane just before you land.
