The Honda dealer from Richmond Hill, ON.
Are the cars really certified and were they verified by a mechanic and all?
Can I buy a used one from them without hesitation? It's not about the price, but about the car itself (engine, etc...)
Please advise.

certified used cars, are a good buy. they go through an inspection, things are repaired as they need be plus they come with warranties. Of course when buying a used car, even if it is certified, make sure you don't just take their word for it, and check it out yourself. But imo, buying a certified used car from a manufacture dealer is better than buying it used from one of those side of the road used car lots.
the certified car will run a little more than the used car lot, but you get a car that has been brought up to a certain level of quality and comes with a warranty.
in terms of discount, it comes down to your negotiating skills...I took a look at the ad, without seeing the car, you should be able to get $1000 knocked off easy...

Wow...your lucky its "honda" at least thats partially believable...
most used car dealerships markups are $1-2 minus costs...auction fees, safety, etest, detailing, any issues ETC
if youd ask for $1000 discount ID LAUGH IN YOUR FACE and tell you to leave
$1000 easy....hilarious.... what you think..they make $10000 per car? ..idiot

Didn't get laid last night? Let me guess...you dont have a gf with that dildo up your ass.
Why not give a suggestion to the OP instead of shitting on someone else. A $1000 is a reasonable discount since dealers have huge markups on cars bought on cheap trade-ins.

thanks for your input. I recently went with a friend of mine when he purchased a used 2002 civic. He got just over a 1000 discount within the first 2 rounds of negotiating (where you give an offer and the sales person then goes to the manager and comes back with their counter)
Perhaps you just cant negotiate.

Went to Acura to nego a used car before and the sale rep can only knock off 500$ on a 29k car. Just to give you an idea.

If you looked for a private deal, you might get a good deal.

I'm sure mine isn't quite as clean as theres are, but it's my baby!

the new Honda Fit 2008 is $14,900.
If show them the greens, what discount can I get?
Is freight included? What extra fees should I expect to pay for a brand new car?
Thanks again.

I purchased an Acura certified used vehicle that was listed at $34K and got $3500 off without too much effort. In hindsight, I suspect I could've gotten at least another $500 off but I'm happy so it doesn't bother me.
There is no set formula for used cars, some have greater mark ups than others, plain and simple.
