I will save some flaming by other posters, but are you set on a Bose system? Or would you consider another brand, or even a seperate reciever and speakers(say Denon/Onkyo A/V reciever matched with 5 speakers and a sub)?

Maybe not everyone is an expert on audio. We all know BOSE is overpriced but it does have quality to it and he can sure afford it.
Well, for knowledge sakes, what are some good brands and combinations if he does change his mind and want to put together a HT.

Well I do like the size and quality of the Bose system. I am not sure if there is a drop off in sound quality if I just get the bose speakers and use a different reciever. I just do not want end up getting a reciever which does not match the quality of the bose speakers. If you guys have any suggestion I would very grateful. thank you for the replies already.

Wow, So first off, there is NO quality in bose speakers. Your paying for marketing and marketing. They use cheap chinese drivers and psycoacoustic tricks to make you sound better than it actually does.
Buy anything but Bose.

If it's not too late, please reconsider other brands such as Paradigm, KEF, PSB, DefTech etc ... for less money you get much better performance.
