Now I'm not sure if this goes under green or home improvement. I placed it under home improvement because it suits the category better.
I've got a website here which can show you how to save money at home by reducing the amount of energy and water you use around the home.
The figures I used are american average prices for energy and water.

Save Money at Home (http://www.spartansaving.com)

I hope this helps and if you need any help or have any questions please ask.

Some of the "energy efficient" appliance is quite a rip off tho... I saw a washer that use only 2/3 the energy, save a total of $15 a year (that's what the label said). The washer cost $600 more. That $600 is probably better spent on other stuff that has a higher ROI.

It all depends on where you live and what the prices were. Where I live, energy costs less then .06$/kWh, however in some parts of California the price of energy can be as high as .18$/kWh.
That appliance may also use less water. But yes like any investment you should look into what you buy.
Edit: As well newer appliances are greener so there is more then just saving money involved, your also saving the enviroment and helping your home become greener.:!:

This post just looks like free advertising in the guise of a geniune post to me...just a website full of Google ads.

Isn't it annoying when new members do that? They go through the troubles of registering, only to post links as their 1st post. No introduction and greetings at all

If I'm not mistaken this website has the same amount of ads and affiliates then mine dear sirs.
It's a genuine post is it not? This is a forum where people are trying to learn how to save money on deals and various applications around their homes, my website deals specifically with that. Yes there is advertisement but just as any other website.
I recieved no greetings glaswegian, no hello or anything no welcome to the forum.
So hello, I have been browsing these forums for a little while. I come from a very cold place with a lot of snow in Canada. Small city and all. Energy and water prices here are lower then the rest of the continent for the most part so energy savings here don't account for much at all.
To bullseye, I don't think you can understand how much time I have put into calculating all the figures required for each tip.
Some greeting haha :|

The point is that it seems that you only registered and posted here to advertise your own site and generate Google ad income for yourself. Other advertisers here have to pay for their space.

Anyways, I've reported it, the powers that be can decide whether this is allowed or not...

By the way, if you're genuinely interested in helping here, and generating discussion, why don't you delete out your link, and just post some of your actual information here directly.

That would show that you're actually interested in the topic, and not just trying to direct traffic to your site.
