"feather like" cotton duvet/quilt - can i dry clean?

just bought a duvet, it's not feather but "feather like." want to know if it's okay to dry clean it. i'm not going to wash it in the washing machine. it does say to hand wash

I can't quite imagine how 'feather like' and 'cotton' would relate since there isn't much about cotton that is like feathers unless maybe it's in loose balls in the duvet or something. Meanwhile, I would imagine you are okay to dry clean unless it specifically says not to. How any mfg would expect anyone to hand wash a duvet has to make you wonder. It would weigh a ton wet which would be hard to handle.

You might call the store to make sure before you do anything and also show the dry cleaner the care tag to make sure they can do it safely.
