my dad decided that i turn on the lights too much in my room since I got 2 sets of lights (1 main 4 smaller ones)
so one day while i was out he decided to cut the wires to the switch without telling me
and while i was looking at what's going on behind that switch, i caused a spark to go off and now the power is out in my room
i went down to the basement and flipped the switches off and now but no luck
can anyone help?

How old is the house? I know in some really old homes the fuse panels have replaceable fuses (similar to what exists in cars)....it's possible one of the fuses has 'popped' and needs to be replaced to complete the circuit. I believe this is really old school though, so if your home is even remotely new it's not likely the situation stated above.

Time to move out. That's the impression I get here. Funny your dad is being such a dick about it.
Maybe offer to buy some CFLs to make the power usage minimal.
If the breakers are on, and no lights, possible the switch is blown? Get someone who knows what they are doing to check, getting hit by 120V is not fun. (I speak from experience!) Bear in mind an electrician will likely run you into the hundreds to fix things.

Sounds like someone was messing with something they knew nothing about and could possibly run the risk of burning their house down.
The owner of the house should call a licensed electrician to fix the mess. The electrician will probably also be able to add another switch for the extra lights.
