Hi there!
I purchased an impact driver from Canadian Tire (you all know the Li-ion one which was on sale!) and I'd like to be able to drive lag bolts. But to do that, I need a 1/4" hex adapter to 1/2" or 3/8" square. Should a 3/8" adapter be part of the package?
Any idea where to get such adapters? Also, know of a place to get inexpensive impact sockets? Princess auto seems reasonable.
Thanks!

Canadian Tire should sell them. They were included with their 14.4V Impact Driver kit.
No real need for impact sockets though since you are not using airtools. Regular sockets work just fine. I've been using my old Craftsman set for about 3 years with impact drivers.

I purchased the same impact driver (the 10.2V LIon one, right?) and the 3/8" adapter was included in the case. Are you sure you don't have one?

Thanks for the info. I'll look back again to see if it fell out somewhere, because I did think it came with one (yup, it was the 10.2V Li-ion). As for using non-impact sockets, I've read almost everywhere they can shatter when the impact kicks-in. But you've used non-impact before without issues? I guess these don't deliver as much torque as the air-tools?

Impact sockets are designed to take a beating from those high-torque wrenches with 200+ lb/ft...your impact driver can only deliver ~850 lb/in...which is about ~70 lb/ft...so those hand socket works just fine...btw...CT sells impact socket too...very high quality...decent price when they go on sale...
As for the socket adapter...u can purchase them for ~$3...
btw...if you do decided to get the impact socket set...make sure u are getting the 1/2" and not the 3/8"...1/2" is much more common for impact wrench if you do decide to get it later..

that was a pretty sweet deal...they had a similar deal a few months ago...where u buy the socket set for $100...u get the impact wrench free...IMO...it's a better deal...especially if you don't have an impact wrench already....
