Do you guys know where to get a good reliable meter for measuring radiation levels in the house?

A friend told me that some housing materials emit more radiation than others.

And I also know that higher levels of radiation from radon are associated in some studies with higher levels of cancer.

Thanks.

At work we use a meter manufactured by a company called Technical Associates. I must say though that this whole things seems quite odd....there shouldn't be anything so radioactive in your home that you'd have to/want to measure for.
