Just got a new Whirlpool washing machine but it keeps shaking ("walking"). Its on a flat surface, what else could to wrong?

you are probably overloading it....or it it may just not be level....being that its brand new im willing to bet that it is not level...because chances are the feet werent even when shipped form the manufacturer...just adjust the feet

It could simply be a load imbalance. See if the clothes are all bunched up or if they are evenly spread out.v Let's hope it's that simple.

My Whirlpool Duet Sport front-load washer shakes insanely too (everything on top will be shaken off), but I haven't bothered to investigate yet, simply didn't put anything on the top

I don't think its the load, the clothes are not bunched up.

I'll try looking at the feet again but it seems balanced.

My Whirlpool Duet Sport front-load washer shakes insanely too (everything on top will be shaken off), but I haven't bothered to investigate yet, simply didn't put anything on the top

But over time doesn't it damage the machine.
