Well, I tried to add my bank account to my paypal... but its been 3 days and I haven't seen the deposits. I am wondering if I did it right?

I used my name as it is stated on the forms that I got when opening up the account, for the institution name I entered "The Bank of Nova Scotia" (legal name of Scotiabank), for my account number I entered it exactly as it appears on all my scotiabank documents/receipts (in the 12 digit format with the first 5 being the same as my home branch's transit number), transit number was same as my first 5 digits of my home branch, institute number 002. Is there anything I had to modify/change? Because I thought I should see the transfers by now :|

If it hasn't shown by now, you should enter the first 5 numbers as the transit, 002 as the institution code and then the remainder as your account.

Your account number is actually the numbers after the 002 on your cheque.

When I added my PayPal account, I didn't include the 5-digit transit number in the account number and it worked perfectly.

Oh... Ok.

I'll try again with just the last 7 digits. Thanks!

I saw this thread but it doesn't relate to me exactly.

I have a basic banking account with Scotiabank (chequeing).

I want to transfer funds to my paypal account and will attempt it within in the next few days.

I was wondering if there were any fees associated with it from Scotiabank. Do I get charged the basic withdrawal fee?

I know paypal accepting the funds is free but scotiabank has no mention of paypal.
