Has anyone heard of Chase doing business in Canada? I know they are well known in the US, but I've not seen their products in Canada before.

Today in the mail, I got a Gold Mastercard invitation from Chase with a 0.99% introductory rate on balance transfers for 9 months.

Just curious if anyone's had any experience with them.

Since I got my Aerogold, I have been getting a ton of credit card offers in the mail. Coincidence? :)

talk about timing; got an offer in the mail today as well; 0.99% for 6 months though; darn it! Have no experience with Chase until this offer. A 9 or 12 months offer would have been worth it? Good luck!

it's too bad they don't seem very interested in being competitive in canada

Wells Fargo Finance is the same way; in Canada, they're essentially a subprime lender, not what you'd expect from a very reputable US-based brand.

Chase also offers the Marriott Rewards Platinum Visa in Canada. You can find it at the Marriott hotels website. They also have a long history of providing corporate purchasing cards in Canada (as does USBank) as well as with co-branded store cards (like Sears.) They're slowly branching out into the consumer market, but they have been around for a very long time in corporate markets.

Received it twice over a period of 10 days. I suggest everyone read the fine print in the back carefully before applying for this one. There're too many BS clauses... like, "annual inactivity fee".

I believe they also have that %1 balance transfer fee.

Can't remember all the conditions that seemed like potential sources of nuisance in the future. Why bother walk into a mine field so they can keep dinging you...

In the end I do remember getting annoyed by just reading those terms and shredding the applications.
