I just bought a stand and LCD TV with a Product Service Plan and realized that Visa is giving me an additional year of warranty since I used my Visa
I'm gonna go return the PSP this Thursday. I was wondering whether they are going to give me a hard time since I think they gave me more discount on the stand because I was buying PSP.
Thanks in advance

As long as it's within its return policy time. it's treated like any other product. They'll give you a hassle of course. Those guys make a good commission off the sale of those PSPs. Stay strong.

If they said no or price deduction, you can complain

True as they have started selling these as "packages" (TV + PSP). But your chances are still good. Make sure the receipt doesn't show this as a package price.

I was nearly in the same boat as they usually have "special" packages which includes TV, stand, cables and the warranty. They have been taught to ring these in now I would assume too, so it will show as a package on the bill, meaning you will probably end up paying the same price (if not more!) but be able to return the warranty.

I doubt it would be more. That wouldn't make any sense. Just to sell the PSP which *could* come back to bite them in the rear they'd loose overhead on products? That wouldn't make any sense. I'm sure the bill will go up but they should be getting all the items cheaper without a PSP

people abused this method before, it would not work any more these days.
Good luck for trying it.

why won't it work?
the warranty falls into the return policy, regardless. they may put up a fight, but there's nothing they can do about it.

first theres a huge difference on what the psp covers and what visa covers
second your gonna have to pay more because it was discounted because u bought a package, theres no way to avoid it, they will bring the original or any salesperson in home theatre to deal with the return

you can still return it, but the discount is going to take off for sure as other poster said.
