In reference to the upcoming 20X The Points sale at Shoppers Drug Mart on Saturday December 1st, (refer to the thread in "Hot Deals") I'd just like to say that for this sale, more than the others, it may be quite difficult to get a Nintendo Wii.
I'll explain.
Where stores were selected in Toronto to sell Nintendo products including the Nintendo Wii, the supply was inconsistent but endless to say the least.
Now with the Nintendo products rolling out in most of the SDM stores with Photo Labs this holiday season, the Nintendo Wii's are now based on the sales of the Nintendo DS Lites.
With the Nintendo DS Lites going for $139.99 currently with no accessories of any sort (just the game) my opinion is that people are going elsewhere, UNLESS they are A) Redeeming their points or B) Earning bonus points (say 20X).
It might be the case this time around that stores like Don Mills & Lawrence, Fairview Mall and Yonge & Finch may NOT have Nintendo Wii's based on poor Nintendo DS Sales and instead, the new stores that have setup (and have simply not sold out of the Nintendo Wii yet since they are new for these stores) that may have Wii's left standing for Saturday's sale.
This is what I'm told and I thought I'd give you a guys a heads up ... at least create some awareness for those that may be interested in getting a Nintendo Wii for 20X.
Currently the Nintendo Wii retails for $269.99 at Shoppers Drug Mart, Ontario-wide.
