I'm looking to get a Samsung 40" (LNT4061). Right now they are $400 off, at BB and FS.
I was wondering if I should wait until black friday. I'm not really a big shopper, so I don't know much about it, but obviously if everyone thinks I should wait until then to get it cheaper then I will.

Thanks.

Have you actually looked at the Black Friday ads? Pretty much all of them are currently online or will be tomorrow. Check out http://www.bfads.net (http://www.bfads.com) , http://www.theblackfriday.com , http://www.dealtaker.com/blackfriday.html (http://www.dealtaker.com/blackfriday) , http://www.blackfridayads.com for a start.

So basically, is that all that is on sale? or does it change. If thats the only sales they will have up until boxing day, I'd rather get it now.
After looking at these i guessing Black friday is more for general shopping. And not so much for what i'm doing, which is looking for a specific item(unless that specific item goes on sale of course)

Did you actually look at the individual store flyers? It will take more than a few minutes to pour through the ads for the individual retailers on those sites. ;) Black Friday is hardly the day to "general shopping".

If you want that model TV at $400 off at BB/FS, then buy it now. It may be less expensive at Boxing day sales, while limited stock is available then.

Black Friday is for people prepared to travel to the US, stand in long line ups, and hoping they get what they want, and have to transport the item back.

As you indicate you are not really a big shopper, I really doubt you would be preapred for the trek to the US for a tv.

Okay, cool thanks. Yea, I don't want to go to the states for it.

I find that smaller ma a pa shops can give a better deal than FS or BB. In fact, the prices they quoted me matched and beat all of the American BB or FS prices except the Panasonic models.
