Brand New! Still wrapped (took out only for photos). Came with my 40D but I'm already using L type lenses. Comes with lens cap and dust cap. This lens doesn't come with a soft case or lens hood - even if purchased on its own.

I'm also including a copy of my receipt (purchased Nov 15, 2007) and the warranty certificate for this lens good for one year.

Currently selling for $600+GST at Henry's:

Great upgrade from the 18-55mm EF-S kit lens that comes with the Rebel (XT & Xti). Check out the review:

Sold for $500 to a nice guy in Edmonton :)

Just some info for potential buyers...the Sigma 17-70 F2.8-4.5 DC achieves better image quality, while being almost $150 less than this 17-85.

The Sigma is a good option, but it doesn't have IS (Image Stabalization) which allows more flexibility in low light. Good to have if you like to shoot indoors.

And just how in the hell does this contribute to the selling of his item? Mods get on the thread crapping already, no wonder I dont' sell on these forums anymore.

Still available... I'm hoping buyers will prefer to have a genuine Canon lens with IS. It's also got a larger range than the Sigma. If I didn't have my expensive L glass to pay off I would keep it just for its versatility. It's a great walk around lens.
