Hi,

I have Rogers Lite Speed. If I buy a wireless router, do you know if it works?

Lite speed is slower than Rogers High Speed. But it has decent speed.

Does the speed of the internet connection affect the signal of the router ??

Thanks

Yep, it'll work, signal of router shouldn't be affected by the speed especially since its lite speed.

The speed of the internet does not affect the speed of the router.

Two things:
1) The advertised speed of the router is only noticed when you transfer files *between* two computers connected to the same router.

2) The internet connection (even high speed) is always lower speed than the router's speed, so you shouldn't notice any affect on your Lite Speed service.

Therefore, what I mean is.. you can transfer files at 54Mbps between PCs, but accessing the internet from your wireless router will be at the Lite Speed's 128kbps (or whatever it is now).
