someone told me HSBC has a $600 max daily limit for ATM withdrawl
and also the ATM won't let you withdraw more than $500 per transaction

 any truth to that?

if so, that means to withdraw $600, you have to get dinged twice :?:

The limit is individual, one person may have $100/daily and another may have $1000/Daily. Check with HSBC to see what your limit is.

The limit is individual.
Ten days ago, when I tried to withdraw $1000 , the hsbc atm refused - with a message , that only maximum $500 are allowed per single atm withdrawal, so I had to make 2 withdrawals $500 each.

P.S. no monthly fee HSBC Direct Savings Account has unlimited free atm transactions with HSBC canada and Bank of Montreal ATMs.
