Looking for a laptop

Looking for a laptop. I'm not too computer savvy, but I would like to purchase a laptop fairly new I suppose. All I really use a computer mainly for is internet, music and pictures (lots of music and pictures) and movies. The computer I have now I can barely use more than 1 or 2 programs at the same time so I would like to be able to use multiple program/applications at once without it moving like a turtle. I would also like quite a decent amount of hardrive space..... all without breaking the bank?? too much to ask lol

I've checked out some local stores (tigerdirect, mdg, etc) but havent seen anything, so here I am on I must say the best site out there looking for help lol
Advice as to where to buy new or refurbished perhaps than??
Anyone here selling?

Sleepegirl, you have to be more technically specific like what kind of hardware specs are you looking for? what screen size? what type of laptop (as there are the business kind which is ultra portable, entertainment gaming laptop which is huge, and hybrid which is in between) Do you want Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD cpu? A good videocard for gaming? webcam? Windows Vista OS or XP? etc. I think I might have what you're looking for. Also, very important, what is your budget for the laptop?
