How are the wait times lately to call them? How about the Mosaik Mastercard?

I had my MC switched to gold and they were supposed to send me one at the end of September. To date they have tried twice and I haven't received them as of yet. Now I spent 30 minutes on hold just to have my card cancelled on me

They say they are obligated to do so and are refusing to reimburse me with the AirMiles I'll be losing on future purchases. I'm cancelling this card and getting an AMEX instead that offers AirMiles.

I had to call Mosaik 3 times in the last 2 months - first 2 times spent ~120min on hold combined (was transferred twice), the second time ~10min...

BMO has the worst hold times out fo any bank. I also hate how they refer themselves as Mastercard.

That leads people to believe that Mastercard has bad customer service when it's actually BMO who is slow at answering the phones. The worst is when I need to talk to the Commercial Division. I have to wait on hold in the normal line only to be transferred to Business Lending and get put on hold again.

Screw the call center, do it yourself online. You can switch your card options right on the BMO Mosaik website whenever you want.

Also just FYI when you switch your card options you don't have to wait for a new "gold card" - your old card will have the new structure applied immediately.

BMO MC got me as a customer for life when I got mugged in amsterdam and had everything stolen, they actually delivered my creditcard to a streetcorner the next day because I was sleeping on the street.

Go into a branch to activate your new card. We have a hotline that is answered right away, and no waiting. The tellers are more than happy to call for you. Or....try calling the number on your statement (under the transaction register). It should read as a local #. They are good there.

The website is cool too- you can upgrade or change your options in seconds.

I called today, first time they could not even get on hold, all the lines were full. Called back later and waited 20 minutes. The only reason I had to wait is because we are leaving tomorrow and wanted to add travel insurance and it had to be done today. I've never had to wait that long but it's the first time I've needed to call them in 2 years.

The reason why I called yesterday was to make sure that the Gold option wasn't applied again on my anniversary date. I know the number, I'm in direct banking myself, but quite friggin frankly I don't want to waste my time, and gas to go to a branch to do something that I am able to do (in 2-3 minutes) at home with my VISA. I know the internal number but I didn't want to call from home and get fired.
