Is anyone else starting to notice that some magazines and books are now being printed with only ONE price on them!

I haven't but that is at least a move in the right direction.

Or it's a way to hide the price discrepancy by printing the higher "old canadian" price in the book.

If that is the case, it wont take long for people to clue into it... i mean its not that hard to find the american MSRP on something with the internet...

Surly the book industry does not think canadians are THAT stupid though... right

I think part of the 'one price' purpose is to eliminate the arguments that are taking place at the checkout.

And yeah, the one price will fool people into thinking that we're finally getting parity pricing. It will work for a while.

So, which ones are doing this? And are they printing the US price?

Was in the local Zellers today and saw a sign by the mags and books stating they would be charging the US cover price on all of these items.

I'm thinking they feel obligated to charge the customer the US price on things like cards, mags, etc because the US/CDN price difference rip-off is right there in front of your eyes and plain as day. However, for every other piece of merchandise without both prices, they're still saying 'bend over' canadians.

Dude, you've just elevated short hand text'n to a whole new level. A couple extra key strokes won't kill ya for clarity's sake.

I was at Carlton Cards today, and noticed a few items where the Cdn price was higher than the US price. It was like $6.29 CDN and $4.99 USD.

=

But Something like electronic gaming monthly Canada, only has a canadian price listed, I guess because only Canadian sold.

Whereas mens health, is printed once and distributed in both us and ca, thus they have to put two pricings on it.
