blue box with new home?

Hi everyone,

Just purchased a new home and was wondering if new homes get blue boxes for free? Or how about green box? Or is this something everyone must purchase on their own?

I think it depends on your municipality. I know here in Cambridge (ON) we can get free blue boxes from the city works department.

In Brampton you can go to the Recycling Depot on Chrysler Dr. & you show your documents of the new house & you get 2 blue boxes free of charge. I assume you also get the green bin, I still haven't got one yet :lol: I figured they will drop one off at my house like they did for my mother...
