View Full Version : Bell Sympatico not giving me options to get to their technical support

Today I suddenly developed superslow (I mean superslow as in pages will 1/2 times not load and not load at all if I load more than 1 at a time).

I called Sympatico, type in 1 for English, type in my home number, type in 1 for technical support and then type 2 to speak to an agent...(this is all after listening to their stupid automated messages that they force you to hear out first)

OK after 2-3 friggin minutes of their automated crap, I get silence.

I tried a few times.

Are they trying to save money on us by skimping out on technical support CSR's?

they don't have tech support on the weekends... i guess internet is for use Monday to Friday 9-5

You can also try getting help here. They have been able to help me on the weekends + if you don't want to deal with the hassle of talking to the outsourced Sympatico reps :)

hey guys

finally got to a CSR, but as dfx said they are outsourced to India.

Seems like it half-solved my problem after punching in some DNS entries, BUT my internet is still slower than before...

Reset and unplug everything, including the phone line, for a few minutes.

Then, lock down if you have wireless, perhaps it's being leeched.

Use the india bypass. When it asks for english or french, ask for french. You'll get transferred to a call centre here or in Montreal.

I fixed it finally. Had to unplug the modem and plug it back in.

I wonder if it was being leeched, cuz I have a network password?
