Alright, I got question about sueing
As you guys know my dad's a farmer and he deliver vegatables to supermarkets, now the supermarket doesnt wanna return the money to my dad (around 14000$)
now the question is, is there a way to sue that f*ucker?!?!
edit, they didnt say they dont wanna return the money but everytime my dad goes into the supermarket and ask to give the money they always makes mad excuse,
like today my dad went to the supermarket again and the boss say to come back next sat....

It's possible, just go find a lawyer and discuss the situation. If your dad's a farmer and he hasn't received his payment from the supermarket manager, then I guess your dad will win the case.

Are they Chinese?
My dad's a produce salesman at a big company, and the majority of his customers are Chinese (ie. all the big Chinese supermarkets in the GTA) and from what I've seen they're notorious for either paying very late, trying to get some ridiculously unjustified discount, or they'll hold the stuff until it rots and send it back (where they then ask for their money back).
If you're dad has all the paperwork in order, it should work out in the end...

LOL! What kind of boss lies about not paying? Did your dad even deliver the stuff in time or did he grabbed a few vegetables and brought it home with him?
Either way, how can your boss owes your dad about $14K. Don't your dad get paid every time when he ships the products? I heard about truck driver, they get the manager @ the store to write down their signature on the order receipt slips then later they send you a cheque.

It reminds me of that Chinese series called "At the Threshold of an Era" where they developed a company then everything went right accordingly but at the end, his partner screwed him up causing the whole company bankrupt and they couldn't pay for their asset so they ran away.

That's actually happened with some of the other stores. I think a few partners have up and left with a lot of the money. Also know that every so often one of them gets deported...

If he owes your dad money, you can sue for breach of contract. I'm assuming there is agreement in some form. I suppose you should stop supplying him unless he pays, if you haven't already.
Legal cases cost a ton to fight, however if he really does have no money, you're really out of luck. Only sue him if you're sure he has money to pay.
I'd suggest taking it to small claims court, you can get up to $10000, and you don't have to hire a lawyer. You lose $4000, but it saves you potentially huge legal fees. Your best bet is to talk to a lawyer about what you can do.

My dad (farm owner) delivers the vegatable to the supermarket and before the delivery the supermarket people order vegatable from my dad so my dad have to deliver to the supermarket,
and yes, all the receipts do have signatures of "Dai Lo" (manager?)

Assuming you live in Ontario, here's some info to launch a suit in small claims court:

I hate to say it but your Dad should absolutely know better. Produce is a preishable commodity and he should be collecting on his bills every week, 2 weeks at the most. He should have also stopped granting them credit long ago. It should have been cash or no product, no exceptions when they ran their bill up and gave nothing but excuses. Hubby has been in the produce business (is a buyer on the Ontario Food Terminal) for a long time now and has seen it all over the years.

As an canadian-asian sorry to have to agree... but chinese customers (mainly the fobs) are the WORST to deal with... whether its business-to-business or just plain consumers... they are HORRIBLE... either try to bargain to the penny, make late payments, excuses... just plain trouble...
I dealt with them when I worked retail years ago, my relative who's a dentist never receives payments from them on time (sometimes not at all)....

I see the same thing with my business. Chinese people are the ones always asking for discounts, and are the ones who complain the most. I provide them with specific details about size (ex: 1.45cm x 1.50cm) and some say my product is too big/small for their needs.

Yeah I'm sure they'll gladly ruin their credits for $10,000.
Are the produce market so competitive that they're not afraid of alienating their supplier?

they are declaring bankrupcy for the company and not for self...and a lot of the chinese supermarket are family owned...they change the owner every 2 or 3 years to avoid getting tax checked by revenue canada...and if they are fcuked...they just declare bankrupcy and use another sibling's name to open the exact same store at the exact same spot...
Lol that is exactly what big land farm did - Destroy that plaza and moved Jesurlum Buffet away...
Now they got Peanut Plaza by the balls and already killed Coffee Time (although I hated that Korean Owner - what a jackass he was serving old donuts as new)
And just last week I walked past and saw Payless Shoes is gone too ... Peanut Plaza = 1 year from now New Asian HQ
Markham is slowing coming south of Steeles and if Popeyes moves from Peanut some owner is going to get stabbed by me.
the reason big land farm was gone was because each location was operated by one of the brothers of the family..and i believed the brothe that looks after the one on leslie/finch was gambling pretty badly and in a lot of debt...the whole coporation declared bankruptcy and took whatever money they have and moved back to their place of origin.......before the place officially closed down...and during the last month or so in the business...all the money from sales goes into wages of the staff and the suppliers gets nothing...it was widely reported in chinese newspaper...
