Do you get paid in this forum? Just wondering, you don't have to answer it.
Anyways, yeah, my renting cost 0% since I live with my parents. If I continue living with my parents in the next 50 years, I will save about 500K as 10K per year of renting cost.

I'm the web programmer... Not RFD specific. Of course Clear Sky Media has PriceCanada.com (http://www.pricecanada.com) and who knows what else in the future ;)

Ah interesting, I was wondering what the new title was for. Welcome to the team. The search engine on Price Canada needs some work btw. :cheesygri

We just implemented an autosuggest feature on it :). What sorts of terms are you searching for yielding no/inaccurate results?

Just minor things here and there. It seems to be a little sensitive, for instance I search for "minisd 2 gb" it takes the search as is. It might be better if the algorithm adjusted for spaces for some search terms. The other issue I have with it is if i'm searching for something like "Windows Vista" it goes through several categories but jumbles them in the same results unless I specifically select the category. I think it would be more clean to organize them into categories automatically if all categories are selected as i'm sure many people just do a simple search without filtering or selecting the category.
Anyway, just some ideas and/or nitpicking. Maybe it's just my frequent use of Google.

Yes, it is. That's what happened when I broke up with an ex and refuse to move home. OSAP pays for everything else though.

About 36%. If I take into consideration all my freelance income, it's about 25-30%.
Too bad I have so many bills to pay (damn credit cards and OSAP).

Ahhh, this is quite interesting to know. I used to use PriceCanada but then I came across to ShopBot.ca which is easier and same as Price Canada then later I found RFD...
But I still find that the search engine for PriceCanada.com needs a better width since it's way too small.. probably the size of google search engine box
edit: sorry for spamming on this thread. ill stop.

Hey Kaitlyn, you might get more results if you put up a poll? For those who want to remain anonymous.

Wow you guys pay 45% and 30% for rent out of your income?
My share is 12.5% of my after-tax monthly income, just did the calculations with a calculator, very interesting since I never knew what kind of percentage-wise I was shelling out for merely existing.
But I share my rent 3-ways since I live in a 3-bedroom apartment. Not bad :D

Dude...... don't be silly, do you think we are going to waste our time trying to investigate you and track you down just because you put 80% or 3%? Why would you not want to post your percentage since you are already using an unknown internet nick with no profile pic?

True.
But a marriage with dual income and owning a house would make more sense.

PS I am not cheap .. it just that the University Of Windsor campus cuts thru the border crossing.. (University owns the Duty Free Shop) and I live across the street from the campus.. it has its perks.

My rent is $990 / month + some utilities. With utilites it comes to about $1150. 2 bedroom so split 2 ways, so I guess my share is $575/ month. I am a student with no job.
I get $550 / month student loan so i guess you can call that my income. So, I am paying about 105% of my incoming money a month on rent.
