I know there are tons of scams on Ebay for iTunes store cards or credits, but wondering if there is a safe way to purchase physical cars in person? (other than buying from Apple, Costco, FS etc) - I found a good deal (I think) and the cards seem intact with the scratch portion still on them (two $50s for $50) - can I meet the person in an Wifi setting and log-into my account and just add the credits into my account before I hand over the dough?

Hey, here's a thought...why don't you just ask the seller?

I wouldn't go through with the deal if they declined - but I also don't want to waste my time and find out that the credits on my account are frozen or removed by Apple because the card was fraudulent.

i wouldnt do it since i wouldnt know if there is something in the card. i would refuse to do trades like this.

But, what if the scratch coating is intact and it works when I drop the credits into my iTunes store account? I'm just concerned that the credits will be credited, I pay the person and then Apple pulls the credits for whatever reason.

Here's how to get the cards "cheaper" sort of.

If you are in Ontario, they sell the cards at AP grocery store.
Now AP also has the "fresh or free" policy and if u find $25 of expired grocery...which is very easy and should take 25 minutes max.....you have to buy items to equal what u find.

So today I found $25 in expired items and got the fresh replacement for free...then bought an Old Navy gift card :) ....a $25 one.
-they take 24 hours to activate though, I do have the receipt confirmation.

So, if you want you would get $25 of food and a $25 GC, they also have Home Depot, Second Cup, Harveys, La Senza.
only thing is u can not buy AP certificates..... :)
