Kinda Fun. It is a neat trick. Took me a few minutes to figure it out.

It comes it is from the BRITISH COUNCIL, it is a game. It isn't a virus, or spam, etc.

Yeah... the first few times I was buffled. I didn't want to give a hint out immediately.

But if you need it... take your mouse and highlight between the lines:

Look at it this way:

a=10s counter, b=1s counter

Therefore your 2 digit number = 10*a + b

X = (10*a + b) - a - b
= 10a + b - a - b
= 9a

So, after this little mathematical trick, you can conclude that the number must be a multiple of 9. So you'll notice that on the little "key", that all multiples of 9 are highlighted.

Similarly, by virtue of the properties of multiples of 9, when you add the digits up, they too must be a multiple of 9. So you could take this trick one step farther.

Take the two digit number that results and add the two seperate digits together (ie if you're left with 27, 2+7 = 9). Now, add 9 to it. If you've still got a 2 digit number left after doing this, perform the operation again, but this time don't add the 9.

Ok, now let me guess what you're left with.......
