Oh man!!
I checked my delivery status, and it says DELIVERED at 11:51 am! I didn't receive anything, and the person who signed for it is named FRANKENBACK. I never even heard of that name.
So I called Creative, and he said there is nothing he can do but open an investigation with UPS, which could take up to 10 business days!! So he said to call them back after 10 business days, and I can do nothing between that time, and UPS will verify if it was delivered to the correct address. Wow, I spent over $230 here, and UPS screwed up so I have to wait 10 business days when I paid for express shipping!
What if UPS doesn't even find a mistake or something? How will they find out that they delivered to the wrong place? OMG I'm so scared man. That's so much money for me! :-(

The wait sucks for sure. But calm down...I'm assuming that the package was sent addressed to you and your name...So if it's signed by Frankenback, UPS is the one who screwed up by leaving it with this 'person' because the driver made the judgement call that it was alright to do so.
It should get resolved no problem.
Just sit back and wait (which again, I know really sucks lol)

i'm pretty sure u can prove that they send it to the wrong address...
your signature is different, if there's nobody in ur household named Frankenbeck, the delivery address is different than the address you gave to creative.
seems like you have a pretty solid case against them...this is just what i came up with from your story.
hope it all works out =)

The least they can do is refund your shipping cost. I would definately complain. Check the UPS website for a customer service phone number.

I hope so!!
Thanks for your encouragement guys. I'm seriously crapping in my pants!
So after the investigation is complete, I should try to ask for my shipping money back from UPS, or from Creative? Or should I ask for shipping back now?

UPS blows. In January I ordered a $500 pair of Klipsch speakers from Costco.ca and on the delivery day it showed "out for delivery" so I stayed home all friggin day waiting for the truck that never showed. I even called them twice, adn they said, give it till 7pm. Well, that time came and went, and the next day I was irate and called UPS and they simply did not know what had happened. I even asked the manager "don't you know what truck it went out on, and who was driving it?" to which he said "no."
I was amazed at the complete lack of professionalism from this company who simply did not know how my package had disappeared, as the status remained "out for delivery" for days. You'd expect for them to know what truck it went out on, and who was driving the damn thing, and ask him WTF happened to the pacakge.
Costco told me the same thing, to tell UPS to do a trace. In the end it took me a MONTH for the trace to finish and Costco to refund me my money. It wasn't Costco's fault, but rather UPS's. IDIOTS!!!

Agreed, on top of the frigging crazy brokerage fees they charge, I've learned not to buy anything if the seller ships via. UPS. I'd explicitly tell them to ship via. USPS for my order. Absolutely terrible.

At work one time, we received a big box that should've been sent to someone else. The name of the guy it was supposed to be delivered to was almost the same as our company name, so the idiot UPS guy got confused. The addresses were about 5 miles apart anyways, so not even remotely similar.
We opened up the box and it was a bunch of naturpopathic and health products probably worth a couple of grand. We called the guy who it was originally intended for so that he could come and pick it up, and he started giving us **** about taking delivery of his package...what nerve! We told him it was at our office and that it was UPSs fault for delivering it to the wrong address. Anyways, he showed up about a half hour later, and took his package from us.
I'm sure he gave UPS a piece of his mind.

I was leaving my house today, and the UPS guy came running at me and asked if I had a package accidentally delivered to my house? I told him it was the opposite case! I told him I had my parcel delivered to somebody else named FRANKENBACK. Then he goes oh, I know who that is and ran off.
I got a call from my mother later on saying he tried to deliver a package and wanted over $40 in COD fees. So she told him to come tomorrow when I'm home. I guess that FRANKENBACK guy paid the COD fees as well
So at least I got my package, but if I didn't catch him, he would have gone to my house and talked to somebody else who would have no clue what he is talking about, and he'd be off.
I'm really relieved. Not so relieved that I will get hit with taxes, but it's better than their ripoff brokerage charges which are already included in my express shipping charge.

Wow, he should have been happy that you guys didn't take his stuff. That is what I was most worried about with my package--that somebody else would keep my package.

I wonder can you call and complain about the charges, since it was delivered to the wrong person (maybe you can make a case for it if it was opened?)

from experience dealing with UPS at my old job...
whoever paid for shipping will do the investigation... 10 business days is honestly if you're lucky... i've had cases drag on for months.. even upto half a yr... but since this is a simple delivered to wrong address case, just call them asap and have them retrieve it...
