I wonder if I am the only one... At first it was gradual and now I find I'm on the site more than I should be.

Maybe because my company has WebSense that effectively blocks me out from most sites I frequent at home. :(

Although for some reason, the guy that sits next to me on my team here at work has access to all sites without a problem. (YouTube, Gmail, Hotmail, etc.)

I don't want to ask the IT Dept. why he has access and I don't, cuz chances are they'll block him and he'll get mad... So RFD is my only window to the "outside" world so to speak.

I would say I'm on RFD at least 75% of my day, lol.. helps that I have dual screens, one side is work related, the other is RFD..  :D

1-2 hours - only when I have not much else to do FTW!

It is the most obvious logical correct choice.

I think I'd be fired if I was on RFD for less than 8 hours per day.

Well consider yourself lucky. I've only got the TheGlobeandMail.com to contend with.

That would put RFD out of business!

I spent a lot of my day this past summer on RFD. I work in the IT department of a relatively large investment firm, and WebSense is also implemented, but we're exempt from it. There were a few days where Facebook would randomly be blocked, so I just hopped on Remote Desktop and did my surfing via my home machine.

How much time do I spend on RFD at work or elsewhere? Enough to not get any work done, thats for sure.;)

I usually only actively post on 3-4 forums while at work, RFD being one of them. It depends how busy I am at work, but usually I'm not that busy in an 8 hour work day minus 1 hour lunch I finish my work in 3 to 4 hours and rest of the time is spent socializing, surfing, ect.

I find the captions next to the poll options rather amusing. "4-6 hours - I slack somewhat, still gotta work to pay dem billz"

..slack somewhat..?
If you're not doing work for 50-75% of your work day, that a bit more than "somewhat slacking"

I think anything more than 1 hr is a real waste of company dollars. Unless you include your breaks and lunch hours.

Not everybody is up to their neck in paperwork and assigned tasks.

Yah, I work in a team of 3 - so we're pretty covered always in paperwork.

Ryan, does RFD have a office of some sort in Toronto?

Still a full-time student ... YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS! RFD all the time :)

Otherwise, my part-time job has net access but they watch and they've told us so I won't go on the site.
I want to! But I don't ...

Doesn't matter, I spend more time on here than most people do so ... I don't feel like I'm losing out (all the time)
