So apparently they're making a true sequel to the first... as if the first wasn't ridiculous enough.

Chelios faces a Chinese mobster who has stolen his nearly indestructible heart and replaced it with a battery-powered ticker that requires regular jolts of electricity to keep working.

First one was great, but the point of it was to be over the top outrageous while maintaining some sort of structure. The whole beauty of that film was that it was final. He falls in the end and it's a safe assumption he is dead. That's it. Was a great ending to a good movie. If they mess with that ending by bringing him back I'm going to be really disappointed.

Crank had to be one of the worst movies I have ever seen and I cannot believe they are making a sequel. It seems lately we are either getting re-makes coming out the ying yang or we are getting completely ridiculous movies that make no sense.

Crank was great, one of the best movies of the year. Anyone who says otherwise takes movies too seriously. Shut your brain off and enjoy the mayhem.

Can't wait for the 2nd installment and hope for many more!

it was worst than say..bewitched?

whats so bad about it?

its an over the top, non realistic action movie...something that it set out to do and achieve.

id put crank over something for example like triple xxx just because its so out there while the other action movie is cookie cutter.

yes crank want realistic but it is a movie.

I thought is was alright for what it is and particulary enjoyed the love scene in chinatown...

I dont think i sequal is necessary though.

Crank: High Voltage is a totally worthy successor to the original Crank!

Super violent, high speed editing, nudity - it gives a shocking jolt to the series. Jason Statham is the best in action nowadays. This one woke me up from the stupour induced by watching F&F4 last week.

Recommended!

It has a uniqueness to it which I enjoyed. Some parts were slow but overall its like Planet Terror.

Watched it on Friday. One of the worst movies I have ever seen. I liked the first one but this one to me was just horrible. Just wait for it on dvd. My girl wanted to see 17 again and but I took her to Crank. Should of gone to 17 might of been better.I'm sure this sequel was bad but to question yourself on seeing a movie with Zac Effron in it? :lol:

It really was just pathetic crap, and the more talented members of the cast must be wondering how they ended up in such a career-ending mess. Statham, Carradine, and the Chinese ho have all been in quality movies before, so how did they get stuck in this?:confused: Their agents should be the ones found hanging in Thai closets.

one thing i really enjoyed about crank2 was the camera work. like when he was running at top speed after getting juiced up. style really suited the movie

Yeah, considering the potential of the talent involved in it, it's hard to see how they managed to F@@@ it up so bad - unless everybody involved was trying to give the studio and the entire audience the bird.

I saw a trailer for C1 on one of my DVDs last night, and going off the trailer at least it didn't look bad - just your typical Statham film. I hope they don't come up with a trailer to fool anybody else into seeing this crap. I really do want my 2 hrs back!

I predict this entire quote will appear prominently on the retail packaging.

People will be feeding their just-purchased Crap 2 BR discs to their Nexxtech shredders to see which one wins. That'll be as much enjoyment as they'll get out of either!

It's definitely a love/hate movie.

I think this reaction was similar to Drag Me To Hell - some people just don't enjoy comedy mixed into other genres.

(However, for those of us who do, this Spring has been a rare treat with the action-comedy of Crank 2 and the action-horror of Drag Me To Hell - I loved them both!)
