So not sure if this should go here or in the looking to buy forum. I'm after a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label King George V edition. Now I could buy it at the LCBO, but with their marked up prices I would much rather buy it in the States (dollar and what not). So, anyone know of:
-online retailer who will ship to Canada?
-or liquor retailers across the border that I can call up to see if they carry it

As well what are the current limits for brining alcohol back into Canada?

Thank you

As New York State (and most other States) have no Liquor Control Board stores, all liquors are sold in grocery or private liquor stores. As these stores are privately owned and operated, they carry whatever stock sells in their area. (surprisingly it is almost the same here in Ontario, the mangers are responsible for stocking the shelves as well). That being so, it is near impossible to tell you what store has what you are specifically interested in. You may have to search the local yellow pages for a specialty store and call them.
As for how much you are allowed lately, for the past 30 or so years it has been 1.5 litres after a 24 hour stay. http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/E/pub/cp/bsf5056/

I used to live around the corner for Premier Liquor. Biggest liquor store I've ever been in, but also the biggest one that my husband (an American from the midwest) had been in either. They carried a huge variety of stuff, a lot of wine, but many many aisles of hard stuff too (like a whole all of vodka than must have run over 60 ft). If they didn't have it I don't know who would.

Its just south of Deleware and Sheriden in Tonawanda on Deleware.

*sniff* I miss that place.

From your link to CBSA:
1.5 litres (53 imperial ounces) of wine;
1.14 litres (40 ounces) of liquor;
a total of 1.14 litres (40 ounces) of wine and liquor; or
24 x 355 millilitre (12 ounces) cans or bottles (maximum of 8.5 litres) of beer or ale.

Sorry, I always bring back a couple bottles of wine from Italy, never liquor. That is why I posted the I Declare site.

Take a closer read of the CBSA site for a 24hr + visit:
"After each absence of 24 hours or more you can claim up to CAN$50 worth of goods without paying any duties. This is your personal exemption. You must have the goods with you when you arrive and you cannot include tobacco products or alcoholic beverages in this exemption"
Looks like you need a 48 Hr absence to include "sin" products.
