Yum. The one thing in Calgary that really stands out as nearly a local legend.

We suck for pizza, we suck for seafood, our BBQ's pale in comparison to a Texas tailgate.

But damn, we've got the best ginger beef :)

At Dixie / Eglinton (Eastgate to be exact) chinese mall in Mississauga, there is a food court with mostly chinese vendors. One of them is called House of Peppers, and they sell "Calgary Style Beef".

I didn't try it myself, though.
House of Peppers is pretty good for most of things I tried, and it's the busiest place there.

We did invent Caesars (the drink) as well. Gross, but for some it would be a point of pride.

I used to live in Toronto and had Ginger Beef there. I never noticed any lack of it. Strange. Maybe I just never paid attention, but I've never heard of it as 'Calgary-style' before. I know we have a restaurant called that, but never even thought of it as local. Whaddyaknow.
