Looking for something inexpensive, either from a grocery store, or restaurant. Thanks! I can use suggestions for the future too as I am not very creative in the food department.

a couple of suggestions:
- get a frozen bag of fries from a grocery store, around $2.00 a bag, then go home and bake it.
- a lot of grocery stores have a rotissori department which serves ready-to-eat hot/warm food such as a whole chicken, fries, mashed potatoes, rice, etc.
- some restaurants have dinner specials somewhere between $5 to $8.

There's always pasta!! Even with 'gravy' (you have to have seen Goodfellas to know it) it's yummy!!!
I even saute it with some onions and oyster sauce http://www.asianfoodgrocer.com/food/lkk/lee.jpg
Yummmmmmm....Under $2

If u wanna go all exotic... try making some curry.
No frills has these cans of curry sauce for only $1.33
Stir fry some chicken. then add the curry sauce and some water. Simmer it with some potatoes and veggies.
After 10 minutes you can eat it with rice.

Thanks for the replies, just thought of posting as a joke sorta, although it is true, nice to have less expensive options, without resorting to fast food when possible!
