This is the "budget" energy drink launched by Magna's Frank Stronach last Spring.
- Anyone actually seen it in any store or any restaurant? (Where?)
- Anyone actually tried it? (What flavour, what did you think?)
- How much did you pay for it?
- Finally how does it compare to your favourite energy drink?

Stronach said he was apprehensive when approached by two Austrian entrepreneurs about lending his name to the drink, which contains 80 milligrams of caffeine and 1,000 grams of taurine, a naturally occurring amino acid, according to the newspaper.
"I said, 'You guys gotta be crazy, I don't want a drink named after me," Stronach told the Globe and Mail. "Finally I sort of gave in and said, 'Yeah, you can use my name'." Stronach said he also invested a couple of hundred thousand dollars in the drink company that also sells a bottled water in Austria called Magna Via.
While he has lent his name and money to the drink, Stronach was non-committal when asked whether he drinks it. "Ask me that in 70 years," the 74-year-old Stronach said. I've never tried it, never seen it in person, and to be honest never even looked for it. But I just remembered seeing Gene Simmons "launch" the drink in Toronto earlier in the year and realized I hadn't heard of it since.
Is Frank's Energy a flop, or do I need to get out more?
