yeah i know vista sucks blahblahblah hope all you bloggers are loven this;)
i have vista installed for two weeks on a system with an amd 3800+ with 1 g ram and have recently noticed that core 2 is pinned at 100%
almost all the time because of hardware interrupts i took out the drivers for both sound and video and its still pinned .

Then obviously there's some process that using the CPU, shouldn't be hard to figure out, just use Task Manager.

I've been using Vista since RC1 and I can't really say I've ever had a major issue with it... Everyone said XP was useless when it came out, now look where we are.

You went into Task Manager to check CPU usage, but didn't bother to find out which process is causing it

core 2 is at 100% like its stuck .
its pinned at 100%

say your cars speedometer goes up to 120 and you are going 120 you got it pinned at 120!

That is quite the tease. I'm guessing the ipod touch handles much like the iphone. I love apple. They make great tech

Cheers

i had that problem with what i think was a sound driver issue. I have an e6600 and when i installed my new sound card and something to do with the asus ai pack or whatever it is as soon as something played sound both cores would jump and stay at 100. Task manager listed as 98 percent idle but the graphs showed 100 percent, it was weird .

You can tell the difference between 98% and 100% from that tiny graph?
