Problems With Alerts? (Excessive alert e-mails)

I received 10 alerts overnight for this thread (http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=501703&goto=newpost). (I subscribed for instant alerts.)

I thought that it only sends on 1 alert and then stops until you visit the thread again. Is something wrong here?
