thread link doesnt work for me.
i dont think that "thanks op" in threads esp in freebies and deals is spam. it's gratuitous acknowledgment of the fellow RFDer helping us save on our purchases.
spam is like something totally digressive from the thread topic and/or random or dumb.

I think its just a way to boost their post count. I think a basic "Thanks" is redundant.. you can say more than just thanks

You know, not everyone gives a crap about their post count. Some people are just very polite and saying thank you is the polite way to respond to someone who's gone to the trouble of posting a freebie or deal or w/e. How can a thank you bother anyone?? unless your competing for your own post count to be higher...but it's not like you get any reward for a high post count. I think I know who you're talking about and from someone who used to post a fair amount of freebies I personally appreciate a thank you. Who's it hurting and how?? If this was my biggest problem, I'd have no problems at all.

So? That's you. Not everyone aspires to be the same. I still don't understand how this could bother anyone, unless you're the type who looks for stuff to complain about.

OP has a point. Which user is it? Search links expire after a few hours.
