View Full Version : Good Wing platter places?

One of my favourite places to go in the past for a good night of beer and platter of fried finger food was Dicken's Cafe, which has since closed both of their locations down (one turned to that JR lounge buffet place at Midland)... it was decent and somewhat cheap too ($10-15 range), compared to the likes of some of the other bars/restaurants. I remember it had decent amount of big wings, fries, shrimps, calamari, and sausage rolls, and it was just the thing to go for if you were craving for some grease once in a while.

Does anyone know of another place that has platters like these in T.O? It doesn't have to be Chinese-owned like Dickens was, but I have a feeling the places that'd have platters similar to that will be those HK-style Cafes.

Thanks to anyone who know.

Plateform 2 (woodbine/denison)

- cheap import/domestic beers
- wings monday to thrusday (can't order it on weekend)
- lots of asian finger foods and full meals

*it's a bar atmosphere though... not like Dickens.

I've actually been to Platform 2 before... the wings are alright (in the chinese style) and cheap, and the bar setting is lively with lots of girls to look at, but I find the place a little too loud for their own good sometimes... it's a bar, to be fair, and I'm looking for more of a cafe-like place.
