It looks alright...I thought the last TSX looked awesome. This is sort of Ho-hum. The front Looks nice.
As for the power and the engines, they are pretty sick . A 260 HP turbocharged 4 cylinder sounds appealing to me.

Looks like a Camry alright. And that lame BMW shark fin antenna was pretty original too.

Looks much smaller then Camry for sure.
Base model is expected to be FWD with 20-30 more hp. Also a Type-S is expected, it will have the Turbo from RDX massaged to 260HP and SH-AWD.

Are you guys serious about SH all drive on the TSX??? I figured it was going to filter to the TL in the next gen, but the TSX? Already?
I dunno if those are just rumours but if true, wow, now that would be the first interesting Honda in decades!
TSX FTW! :D

Oh well we know Honda's been taking cues from BMW a long while now. I mean the current TL is a perfect example. You know what they say about imitation though, heh ;)

THe TL doesn't look anything like a beemer as I recall.. that TSX does have a big ass.. resembling a Camry (damn, if it weren't for this, I'd be picking up a TSX-S for sure). I think the first gen TSX's looked the best and most aggresive, although I'm a little biased as a '04 tsx driver.

instead of copying an antenna..maybe they can copy the drivetrain layout..as in get the right set of wheels moving in their supposed "sport" sedan... or just copy lexus, or infiniti or MB and get a sportsedan in their lineup. or stop doing badge engineering and get some real sport/luxury cars not based on their economy cars

Well, we already kind of know what the next TSX is going to look like from the Accord Tourer concept a few weeks ago.

Not much different than the current one, IMO.

There's a thought. But I mean most modern Hondas have traditionally been FWD, which though not optimal for many purposes they continue to pursue and refine it. I mean sure they could switch to RWD but then all of those cars would be RWD. At least you can count on these Acuras to bring a something different to the market. Plus, SH-AWD is really an innovative and beneficial AWD system.
As for the whole badge engineering bit, that's been discussed more than once here, I'm not getting into it again myself.

their reluctance actually invest in a sportsedan/luxurysedan is the reason why despite being the first jap "luxury" nameplate to enter the market, they are dead last and relegated to 2nd tier status nowadays in the luxury market in image and product amongst the jap luxury makers.
i mean FWD is fine and all for economy/mainstream cars ie Honda. Toyota, NIssan follow the same path. But that doesnt mean Lexus/Infiniti cars are forced to use the corporate parts bin for their cars from their economy division.
until Acura gets serious about making a real luxury or real sportsedan with a proper drivetrain layout and engine, it will always be regarded as 2nd tier. I mean come on, in a luxury/sport automaker market, the brand image is a lot more important than in the economy cars sector.

This is like the fifth time I've seen this term used here on RFD in recent history. What on earth is the matter with you people? I'm sure if anyone else started typing a lot of other racist terms people would be all over it, yet this one seems to continue here  In fact doing a search for the term turns up a rather shocking number of hits :(

perhaps because a lot of people, especially asians consider it as a short form for "Japanese" Moreover, "Jap" to describe the origin of a car already gives it away as an abbreviation. and it's just Japxx, just a shortened version of Japan or Japanese. Unlike ***** where a k gets added on and its not a truncated abbreviation.

But it isn't an acceptable short form. Unlike using "Jew" as a short form for "Jewish" (which is acceptable), "Jap" is considered inappropriate. This is even evidenced in the dictionary and doing an internet search otherwise will also return much of the same.
http://mw1.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/Jap
I could consider some other words as "short forms" for various other races but if I (or anyone else) started to use them on these forums people would be all over it and those using them would probably get banned.
But no not "Jap", let's continue to say that as much as possible and bask in our ignorance

Giboman do you have some personal beef with Honda/Acura? Every post you have ever made in a Honda/Acura post has been nothing but saying how crappy Honda is. I know "dissing" Honda is the in thing to do now, but seriously you need to take a car on its personal merit. ES hates Honda, but he himself loves the Acura TSX:). I hate GM myself but I would love to have an Escalade as a winter beater and a Corvette as my summer car.
I don't even drive a Honda anymore but I am still quite offensive about Honda comments without any facts to back it up. Don't make ignorant statements in car post if you don't have the facts to back it up OR you don't disclose you don't know jack $hit about the post.

jap is actually a derogatory term but alot of people don't really know or care anymore... people who make a big deal over it are often the racists themselves, or they're just PMSing. i called my japanese teacher a jap once and he didnt really care, he just laughed and told me that jap is actually not the appropriate abbreviation for japanese, unlike jew to jewish.

no personal beef..just the truth. is it true the acura lineup are all based on honda and product of badge engineering ? Yes.
is it true that acura is a second tier luxury make because it has ZERO luxury cars and ZERO sportsedans/sportscars? YES.
i never once said honda was crappy. just that Acura has been left out in the cold compared to the other japanese luxury makes and the reason why its not a real luxury contender and is always just an entry luxury car make. Hondas make good FWD cars... consequently, the rebadged hondas masquerading as Acuras are also very good FWD cars. but FWD cars are neither luxury or sporty which is what Acura markets itself as.
I've even reccomended Acura TL to my mom since its cheap, comfortable and she doesnt need handling/peformance and lots of features for the price. Same with TSX to friends who just want an inexpensive car with lots of features. but I dont for a second try to pass off Acura as anything but loaded up economy Hondas since that is what they are.
so again... what have i said here that is not true?

were you also the one that gave them brilliant advice to pass off different versions of the accord as Acura's and market them as sportsedans? or that rebadging a civic would discredit them even further down the ladder if they really do want to be taken seriously?

Trust me dude, RWD <> Luxury. I WOULD TRADE my G35 in a HEARTBeat, for a Acura TL Interior. Not only does the Acura TL interior make my G35 Inteior look like ****, it also has a more luxury appeal. My G35 is just a sports car, the drive is horrible. I doubt anyone will question my G35C being a luxury vehicle, so why would you question an Acura TL? Being a sports sedan is a whole different story. My G35C is a sports coupe, ride is horrible, car shakes like crazy, and interior is mashed together. An Acura TL is a sports sedan, rides hell of alot better, and looks alot better inside. What do you think people in the entry level luxury level look at? I am too young too appreciate an Acura TL, which is why I choose a hard riding sports coupe.
Oh and heres a picture of it (perfect time to post a pic of my car after I got it detailed =)).

.: too lazy to edit out my license plate,so if you drop by my house I expect some sort of coupon. As you can see the BMW, Accord, and G35 live in harmony, but we kicked the Malibu out of there, none of that at our house.
