Okay, realllllly dumb question....
I have some family who have a Wii and they live "over there". Can I get a Wii and play games with them via the Internet? Mostly thinking party games...

hmmm...i need to play Mario Strikers with someone in Hong Kong. You guys think the lag will be too much?

It's a fast game, so maybe, depending on both of your connections.
I've only played with people in the US so I dunno. With Xbox Live, I've played with Europeans all the time and lag can be a problem sometimes but for the most part, I'm surprised how smooth it is.

I hear Super Mario Strikers is a pretty good experience that's relatively lag-free. Fighters like Super Smash Bros. Brawl might be hard, but if you're just in it for quick casual fun it shouldn't be bad at all. So far only Super Mario Strikers and Pokemon Battle Revolution have online multiplayer modes.
