hi bought a regal
when i indicate left or right signals it is very slow in the car and the lights inth back...almost 2-4 secods between each flicker- is their a cure or is it old age?

is there a signal lamp burnt out

The signal flasher relay might need replacing.

Signal flash speed is controlled by the flasher unit, usually under the dash.
A new controller should be less than $10. Some heavier duty units are designed for extra load with trailer lights in addition to the car lights, so may flash slower when trailer lights are not attached.

You may have seen someone with a trailer where the signals flickered very quickly, because they had not upgraded their flasher unit and it was being overloaded.
