My trial date for a speeding ticket, which i am very confident about winning my case (with tons of photos), that i am fighting is on Nov 6th but because of some serious issues i am forced to leave outside the country in late October and wont be back till Nov 8th...Can someone tell me, how would i request for an adjournment here in Ontario....the trial is in Cambridge (or Kitchener -- cant remember). Must i contact someone or file something before a certain date (am i too late)? If the person doesn't grant the postponment then i will just settle and pay the fine right then and there (instead of not showing up) since i have to leave the country regardless.

Thanks for your insight.

Call them up and ask to have it moved back for obvious reasons. The only way they will not let you move is if your date is <5 business days away. That happened to me but I still had a friend show up in my place and push it back.

The cop will show klepto as all the court dates are scheduled specifically when a cop has a "court day".
